President Donald Trump and his “One, Big Beautiful Bill” is under fire by his one-time buddy and former special government agent Elon Musk. Social media has been ablaze over the last few days, with many chiming in and taking sides.
In the barrage of tweets between the two, Musk blasted Trump’s spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination” and accused congress of “making America bankrupt.” However, he’s taken it further by accusing the president of being in the Epstein files.
When questioned in an interview about Musk on Friday morning, Trump said to ABC News “You mean the man who has lost his mind?” he asked, saying he was “not particularly” interested in talking to him right now.
How does this public feud between the world’s richest billionaire and one of the most powerful leaders in the world affect Americans’ view of the president?
In a YouGov poll taken this week, 28% of Americans chose to side with Trump, 8% sided with Musk, 52% sided with neither and 11% said they weren’t sure.
When asked about whether they thought the two men would work together again in the future, 28% said yes, 31% said no and 41% were not sure.
There was a much closer split of people that responded to whether the country would be better off with Trump and Musk… working together – 35%, in conflict with one another – 31%, and 35% were not sure.
